The HRM holds a high degree of responsibility within the legal employment context for risk management, legislative compliance, safeguarding human rights, protecting personal information and ethically resolving contentious situations to a desirable outcome. The HRM ensures that highly qualified, compassionate and engaged employees are in place and have the knowledge, training and resources available to do their best work. The HRM analyzes, creates and oversees the implementation of the human resources strategy, work plan, specialized projects, professional competencies, change management and core training framework. This position is responsible for HRM Leadership, Performance and Rewards, Learning and Talent Development, Employee Relations, Organizational Design and Development, Leadership Development, Organizational Culture, Occupational Health and Safety, Recruitment and Onboarding, Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and compliance with employment and other related legislation. The incumbent develops and implements long-term goals and objectives to achieve successful outcomes for the agency, staff, students and volunteers.
