East Bank Variety on Armour Rd. is seeking a mature, customer service oriented, part time store clerk for up to 18 hours/week. Majority of shifts will be evenings/weekends. MUST have flexible availability.This position will start at $15.00 /HR and include the following duties-Greet customers upon entering establishment, and provide exemplary customer service at all times.-Monitor customers’ needs regularly, answer questions, and provide information as required-Handle cash, change and operate the cash register, POS system, and Lottery machine-Prepare and/or serve food items such as pizza and ice cream-Ensure stock levels on the sales floor are maintained continually-Organize merchandise pricing, signage and coding-Maintain refrigerated and freezer items at a secure and satisfactory level-Complete various forms and work sheets to control sales, deposits and inventory-Participate in the Sale of Tobacco and Lottery products, ensuring strict adherence to all applicable laws, restrictions and responsibilities.-Clean and maintain the store (inside and outside) including washrooms, stock room, walk-in cooler, coffee/food stations, Lottery centre. Including, but not limited to, dusting, mopping, sweeping, emptying trash cans.-Ensure safety of the companys property and money, prevent theft, cash deficits and product lossesPrevious experience selling Lottery & tobacco products is an asset.Knowledge of tropical plants is an asset.Job Types: Part-time, PermanentSalary: From $15.00 per hourBenefits:
