Under the general supervision of the Security Shift Manager, this position is responsible for monitoring the day-today activities of security operations at the site level. Assists with the implementation all new security operations initiatives. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, positively contributes to an entrepreneurial culture that is nimble, energized and growth oriented as well as responsible for the safety and protection of employees, guests, the facility and company assets at the site level. Above all else, must be aligned with, and promote, Shorelines Casinos culture and philosophy of creating a great, memorable experience for our guests and colleagues.Duties and Responsibilities Include:Exceed guest expectations by providing outstanding customer serviceHelp create an engaged work environment by choosing positivity and fun, recognizing excellent peer performance, and by caring about and supporting our colleagues every dayMentors, coaches and trains front line security staff, including best practices for the non-gaming record keeping systemAdhere to all company and legislative policies and procedures as they relate to functions of the positionMonitors, documents and reports internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities; prepares electronic statements via a non-gaming record keeping systemEnforces restricted access by unauthorized personsAdministers and maintains various critical security systemsTags and reports found property; transfers to Lost & FoundConducts regular patrols of the interior and exterior as directedPerforms electronic surveillance; maintains site surveillance equipment; reports issuesEscorts guests and employees as directedPerforms identification checks as requiredPerforms crowd control as directedMay enroll guests in the Self-Exclusion Program at some locationsCommunicates effectively with all appropriate operational departmentsBuilds strong working relationships with guests and employeesComplies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulationsPerforms other duties as assigned or directedSuccessful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:People-focused and committed to service excellenceProactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeedSecondary School Diploma; Post-Secondary education or a suitable combination of education and experience an assetMinimum 2 years security experience in a gaming environment; supervisory experience an asset; surveillance experience an assetMust be willing to recertify every 3 years for Use of ForceCurrent First Aid and CPR with minimum 2 year validation period remainingCan understand, speak and write English; fluency in other languages an assetComputer literacy in MS OfficeSmart ServeSince the fun never stops at Shorelines, candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights, based on business needs.Application Process: Qualified candidates are welcome to apply by submitting an internal application form, resume and cover letter to Human Resources or via email to Danielle Prior at HRPET@shorelinescasinos.com by April 26th, 2022 at 17:00 hours EST.
