Introduction:Reporting Manager: Debbie Orr (subject to change).Position Summary:This position will provide team coverage for all areas. The successful candidate will be a member of a patient services team facilitating the provision of services to the public through Home and Community Care Support Services Central East. Duties will include data input, reconciliation, correction and reporting through an automated computer system; keyboarding documents; liaising with clients and long-term care homes within the community; faxing; and performing other related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications & Position Requirements:Grade 12 or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years experience providing clerical assistance in similar or related work situations.Experience in dealing with the public effectively; demonstrated focus on customer service.Exemplary telephone skills, legible handwriting, and good analytical/organizational skills to meet deadlines and solve problems.Ability to work in a team setting; self-directed.Working knowledge of medical terminology.Computer skills including experience with word-processing and spreadsheet applications in a Windows-based computer environment.Work Environment and Hours of Work:8:30am – 8:30pm, 7 shifts in a two week period; 70 hours per bi-weekly pay period. Candidates must be flexible to adjust to shifts within the hours of operation.
