Job Description

Kalrob Machining Ltd.Machining Tool OperatorKalrob Machining is looking for a Manual Machinist / Millwrights to join our team! Kalrob is a general machine, welding, and fabricating shop within the Agriculture, Construction, Manufacturing Industry. Located in Picture Butte, Alberta.Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and operate manual lathes, boring mills, broaching machines, drill presses, milling machines, surface grinders, metal cutting saws, tapping machines and tool grinders.
  • Read and understand charts and tables
  • Independently plan sequence of operations required for assigned projects
  • Repair machine tools and parts
  • Fit and assemble components to close tolerances
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Verify measurements and parts with precision measuring tools
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making
Qualifications: (experience needed and education)
  • Experience in using conventional manual machines
  • Experience with heavy equipment
  • At least 6 months of related experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
