We are pleased to announce that we arelooking for a committed individual to join our team and grow their career as a full-timeHEALTH & SAFETY SUPERINTENDENT / ENVIRONMENTALCOORDINATORReporting to the General Manager, H &S Superintendent/Environmental Coordinator is responsible for: Ensure compliance in the application of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, and PreventionProgram. Conduct regular inspections to identify non-compliance or at-risk situations. Ensure that H&S management meetings are of high quality such as welcome/orientation, site committee, safetybreaks and special meetings if required. Assists in carrying out inspections of workplaces and takes necessary action to ensure compliance. Assists in responding to and investigating concerns/complaints from workers/employers and assists in takingappropriate action. Assists in investigating accidents or injuries that occur in the workplace Conduct and coordinate environmental work on a wide variety of projects to monitor compliance with legaland other requirements Prepare environmental reports Provide overall project management services to ensure deliverables are provided on time, within scope andon budget Review current and proposed legislated standards, regulations and / or guidelines established by variousministries, and environmental assessments undertaken by other agencies.Requirements: Post-secondary degree or diploma in a health and safety or related field. Exceptional knowledge of Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations in Health and Safety Knowledge of environmental regulations, including waste, energy, water, conservation, andenvironmental protection. Previous experience in an industrial environment, sawmill preferred Excellent safety record and strong work ethic Strong people skills are required Working knowledge of relevant computer software programs, e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MSPowerPoint, Outlook, etc.Twin Rivers Paper offers a competitive salary and an extensive benefit package.
