Who we needReporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, we are adding a Business Development Representative (BDR) to our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a powerful impact on the speed at which we scale. Leveraging our CRM of thousands of leads, you will start conversations through cold calls and emails to outline our value proposition. We are mission-driven, with a visionary CEO at our helm and a group of expert leaders working together to gain traction as we position ourselves to be the distributor of choice in the industry. You will be a key player in our growth and success, channelling your exceptional relationship-building, influencing, and communication skills with prospects to close deals.This is a 4-day on-site role with the option of working remotely on Fridays.   • Contribute to our mission-driven growth and success. You will secure interest, present our value proposition, and successfully close deals to meet or exceed your monthly quotas.
  • Develop new business. You will pursue and close assigned target market prospects (Hotels or senior living properties with over 30 rooms, contractors), transitioning customers to an Account Manager after the initial delivery follow-up call.
  • Participate in trade shows. You will execute our plan-capture-convert trade show strategy for three national and three provincial hotel trade shows annually. You will develop relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, gain insights and capture industry knowledge.
  • Maintain databases. You will record and update client, prospect, competitor, and market information daily in our CRM.You will write up sales orders, contracts, and client onboarding forms.
  • Contribute to our sales system. You will assist in building and continuously improving our sales system through sharing and capturing feedback of “on the ground” market info (competition, market influences, customer motivators, influencers, etc.).

  1. A virtual interview with a Talent Advisor discussing your interest in the role and the company and how you will make an impact as our new Business Development Representative, followed by an online assessment.
  2. An in-person interview with the Hiring Manager. You will have the chance to learn more about how the team and to share your experience. It #39;s a chance to ask questions about the company and the role.
  3. A half-day on-site job shadowing experience. This will include a short interview with the CEO, a role-playing scenario, as well as a chance to interact with the team and ask any questions.
