Fostering an inclusive culture that prioritizes learning and innovation, we ensure every voice is heard and valued.When you work at Superior Glove, you are part of the family!Who we are looking for:Do you put people first Are you passionate about creating a great product experience for customers Are you innovative A self-starter Adaptable Like to have fun You could be part of the Superior Glove Works teamWe are currently recruiting for a Production Associate (various shifts) to work in its Point Leamington NL, Canada location.Job/Position Summary:Reporting to the Production Team Leader, this role is responsible for basic machine monitoring, loading of yarns on machines, packaging of product into boxes. You must be able to follow Standard Operating Procedures, be able to set up and monitor machine functions. Familiarity with computer screens or handheld inventory devices will be beneficial. You will be required to do quality checks to determine if product is of high quality and running according to specifications.This individual must have high attention to detail as well as have the ability to problem solve in order to spot mistakes and make corrections on the fly.Responsibilities:

  • Work and operate equipment per the company’s safety rules and regulations. Ensure work area, department and the company are clean, tidy, organized and safe for self and others always
  • Reading and understanding order lists, specifications, procedures is mandatory
  • Setting up machines with ability to understand specifications, getting familiar with products, raw materials used and where to find them.
  • Doing the required checks on the product to ensure quality
  • Removing full spools of yarns and properly labeling and packing them
  • Be able to add full boxes to stock list and put in proper place in the storage area
  • Able to complete tasks such as removing raw materials and filling out sign out sheet
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • High School diploma
  • Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing / industrial experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with inventory handheld devices an asset
  • Ability to do both detailed and routine work.
  • Ability to engage in problem solving
  • Must have a high attention to detail
  • Ability to work with end users in a clear and professional manner.
  • Must have the ability to understand when an issue needs to be escalated.
  • The ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Strong record keeping/documentation skills.
  • Long period of standing and walking are required; must also be able to bend and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Excellent eyesight and hand eye coordination are required.
  • Follow and adhere to company’s policies and procedures
