Job Description

Parkland Co-op is hiring a Home & Agro Division Manager at our Home Centre in Porcupine Plain or Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan.Who we are:Co-op does business differently. To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at www.parklandco-op.crsWhat you’ll do:Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the planning and day-to-day execution of the Home & Agro Centres and will:

  • Provide operational direction and oversight on implementing programs and policies for the Home and Agro Centres in the areas of brand, customer service levels, quality, and timeliness of delivery
  • Build strong customer relationships and oversee the execution of sales strategies for the Home and Agro Centres through managing and growing current customers and identifying and pursuing growth opportunities
  • Oversee the execution of marketing and merchandising including displays, promotions, and pricing
  • Ensure standards are achieved on all safety, environmental, and asset protection policies and procedures and overseeing the safe handling and storage of inventory and equipment for the location
  • Prepare, administer, and achieve budgeted goals as it relates to pricing, sales margins, expenses, and inventory
  • Provide leadership to the Home and Agro Centres team, including recruitment, goal setting, performance management, training, and development of team members

  • 5+ years previous retail management experience, experience within the Co-operative retailing system would be an asset.
  • Retail experience in ordering, selling, receiving and employee management.
  • Ability to fulfill physical job requirements, includes some heavy lifting.
  • Must have a high level of integrity, systematic thinking, planning and conflict resolution and set priorities.
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
