Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedLocation: Port Colborne, ONSummary:This position requires the applicant to contribute to the successful operations within the Brennan Paving, Niagara team. This outcome will be achieved by supporting various tasks including but not limited to; reception, payroll, invoicing, payables, filing, job costing and providing assistance to the activities of the various operations.As an Administrative Clerk, You Will:

  • Greet visitors, determine the nature of their business, and notify appropriate staff members while ensuring office security measures are followed correctly
  • Update various spreadsheets and tracking tools (SharePoint, shared drive, etc.) with respect to company data such as safety data, equipment tracking, asset tracking (laptops, phones, etc.), project database, etc
  • Answering main phone system, redirecting calls and handling general inquiries with tact and diligence
  • Prepare routine correspondence, office forms and/or other business related documents; handle incoming and outgoing mail and interoffice communications
  • Co-ordinate and input payroll data accurately while ensuring deadlines are met
  • Assist with accounting processing functions including A/P, A/R & payroll
  • Complete bank deposits
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of various documents related to construction, paving, quality control and asphalt activities
  • General clerical duties including photocopying, faxing, and scanning documents
  • Assist with the coordination of company events, meetings and training
  • Support management team as required
  • Order all office supplies and provide administrative support to the field crew and other office staff
What Youll Bring:
  • 2-3 years of related Administrative experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to follow instructions and willingness to learn new concepts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience managing multi-line phone systems
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
