Applications are invited from teachers with BC Certification for the following teaching position:Port Hardy Secondary School, Port Hardy, BC1.0 FTE Continuing Learning Assistance Resource Teacher (LART)Commencing: ASAPThe successful candidate will have the following qualifications:university coursework in Special Education to meet the needs of students with intellectual, physical, emotional and learning disabilities, i.e. diagnosis and remediation of reading and math difficulties and Level B testing;experience developing and implementing IEPs;the ability and energy to work with multi-age groups and meet the needs of students with a range of learning styles and abilities using a variety of teaching strategies;the ability to work collaboratively with staff in a team oriented approach to teaching and learning;demonstrated ability to motivate students and adjust instructional strategies accordingly and to adapt curriculum to meet diverse student needs;knowledge and experience teaching the B.C.
