Job Description

Location: This is a hybrid position. You have the option of working from home on Wednesday and Friday. For the other days of the week, you will work from our corporate office located at 25 De Baets St., Winnipeg MB.Summary:Reporting to the Merchandise Sourcing Manager, the Associate Category Manager for Merchandise Operations is responsible for managing the BPS Merchandise Management System (MMS) and SAP to help ensure the Category Management (CM) team #39;s strategic direction is analyzed and executed. They ensure systematic SKU information is accurate to better serve our business. This position builds relationships by working with the CM teams to ensure SKUs are created, maintained, and assorted efficiently and accurately. Primary responsibilities include merchandise set up and maintenance for our retail stores and eCommerce platforms.Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction and feedback to both CAD and US Merchandise Operation partners.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external partners to help achieve company objectives.
  • Specializes in MMS systems/SAP and applications using their system knowledge to make decisions based on interpretation, discretion, and judgment.
  • Work to build team collaboration cross-functionally with category management, distributionamp; logistics, and planningamp; inventory teams to help systems align and keep SKUs moving as planned through replenishment channels.
  • Work with visual merchandising/space planning teams to ensure planogram integrity.
  • Build relationships with other merchandise operations and category teams to deliver results in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Help design, develop, train, and document modifications to BPS #39;s MMS, including writing SOPs and process guides.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in business administration or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
  • 2-4 years experience in category management, retail, administration or logistics and supply chain
  • Proficient in working with Database Management Systems and possessing strong computer skills such as MS Office (Excel/Word/Access, etc.) or other query tools
  • Ability to sort through and analyze large sets of data
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work within a team and with cross functional departments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Having a drive to seek information on own initiative, learn quickly and assist in own personal development
  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude that fosters and contributes to a positive work environment
