Our stability, resources, and respectful culture supports you in building a solid career with a great team you can count on day in and day out for the long term.As an IT Project Leader, Strategic Projects you will work with development team, business analysts and customers to execute strategic IT projects for the organization, supporting a set of business imperatives set forth at the beginning of each year.What you #39;ll do:

  • Lead teams in the implementation of multiple global IT initiatives for the business sector and manage interdependencies within and across these projects
  • Evaluate new project requests for feasibility, facilitate discussions with the business on project priorities and ROI and engage with IT architecture teams in developing sustainable IT solutions.
  • Conducts detailed technical and functional testing of new systems and system enhancements to ensure programming has been done in accordance with detailed specifications.
  • Responsible for managing the project IT budget and ensure annual budgets performance are met.
  • Develop and maintains an understanding of company business processes, the information/data required and generated, and the computer application functionality required to make those business processes cost-effective and efficient.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of project execution including assessment of risks, risk mitigation and communicating impact to current processes and escalations as appropriate
  • Set project timelines, monitor and control to ensure project outcomes are met on time and on budget through timely resolution of issues and dependencies.
  • Ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the stated business objectives
What skills you will require:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related technical discipline desired or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years #39; project management experience, working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of a broad range of company processes and supporting Business Systems functionality at a manufacturing site.
  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail, team leadership, excellent problem solving skills and change management.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work without organizational authority across organizational boundaries to identify information needs and to design and implement applications that fulfill them.
Preferred:
  • PMI certification preferable
