We are looking for a strong leader to oversee our Production Buying Department. Reporting to the Director of Purchasing, the manager will be responsible for the following.Key Responsibilities:● Regular communication with the vendors● Setting strategic directions for material group family● Coaching and developing the team beyond the immediate needsNegotiation skills:● Plan, prepare and conduct negotiations● Consider broad commercial and non-commercial factors in negotiation● Define potential scenarios, negotiation roles and a negotiation strategy● Prepare and execute negotiation tactics and approaches including ability to adapt and/or use flex tactics during a negotiation● Achieve negotiation outcomes that are win-win resultPresentation skills:● Present ideas effectively to individuals or groups● Effective in a variety of formal and informal presentation settings: one-on-one, small, and large groups● Command attention and manage group process during the presentation● Ability to think quickly on your feet. Change tactics midstream when something isn #39;t working
