Job Description

Forbes Bros Ltd. is seeking an experienced Directional Driller (full-time, permanent) to join our team in Prince Albert, SK region.The Directional Driller is responsible for operating boring (drilling) equipment for installation of underground utility lines and/or gas/oil infrastructure on projects. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFEamp; never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day
  • Ensure operation of drilling equipment
  • Operate bore equipment (ditch witch)
  • Read and interpret plans or diagrams and perform required work
  • Communicate with co-workers for prep work and project coordination
  • Regularly perform Healthamp; Safety inspection of equipment and tools
  • Adhere to FBL #39;s Healthamp; Safety practices
  • Follow equipment maintenance schedule and advise when repairs are required
  • Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned
What We Are Looking For:
  • Minimum one (1) years of experience operating directional boring equipment including a ditch witch, is required
  • A valid Class 1 or 3 Alberta license or the provincial equivalent for province of residency is preferred. Candidates with a Class 5 willing to obtain a Class 3 will be considered
  • English proficiency with the ability to read, comprehend, and execute written work plans
  • Strong communication skills and able to take direction
  • Ability to work in field/site with travel and work hour flexibility to accommodate to remote/site work schedule
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting
