Manager of Restorative Justice - RES006184Employment Type: Permanent Full-timeLocation(s): SK-Rgna-Regina SK-North Central-Prince Albert, SK-Far North East-La Ronge, SK-Stoon-SaskatoonMinistry: 073 Corrections Policing and Public SafetySalary Range: $7049-$9165 MonthlyGrade: MCP.07.The Community Safety and Well-Being Branch of Integrated Justice Services is a fast-paced work environment that supports a number of key strategic portfolios under the ministries of Justice and Attorney General and Corrections, Policing and Public Safety. Our Branch is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, influential, and innovative individual for the position of Manager, Restorative Justice, Community Safety and Well-Being.Reporting to the Director of Community Safety and Well-Being and supported by the ministries’ policy and program management staff, your primary responsibility will be managing the restorative justice strategic portfolio in order to strengthen and coordinate an acceleration of the utilization of restorative justice in Saskatchewan. The work will include community development, strategic planning, program and policy development, and program review, design, implementation and evaluation.In this role you will provide expert advice and leadership to:

  • the staff of Community Safety and Well-Being,
  • the ministries’ Executive Team; and
  • a wide array of inter-ministry, federal government, community-based organizations, police agencies, First Nations organizations and municipal partners.
Your efforts will focus on the design, development, delivery and maintenance of programs, services and strategies that accelerate restorative justice and fit within the Community Safety and Well-Being framework. As part of this role, you will be responsible to manage government resources efficiently and effectively within approved budgets, department and government policies and procedures and management practices.Our candidate of choice will possess superior leadership and interpersonal skills, combined with a comprehensive knowledge of restorative justice, complex social issues and a broad knowledge of related public policy issues and implications. Strong communication, negotiation, collaboration, collective impact and community development experience and skills are essential. At times, this position will require extensive travel throughout the province.Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be acquired through completion of a university degree (preferably at the Master’s level) in the human justice, social sciences or a related field with progressive leadership experience or an equivalent combination of related experience and trainingWe are committed to workplace diversity.Hours of Work: M - Monthly Out of ScopeNumber of Openings: 1Closing Date: Sep 2, 2022, 12:59:00 AMQuick Apply
