The safety of our employees and their families is of primary concern, and we take all precautions to protect our employees, our clients, and the communities where we work.Position Description About the Role:Reporting to the Director of Engineering, Quality and Constructability, this position Supports engineering personnel under general supervision by generating moderately difficult drawings, technical design and quantity take offs. Performs a variety of defined complex assignments with some independent judgment required; examples include 3D drawings and running design software. Applies standardized procedures with some judgment. Carries out straightforward computational work using industry standard acceptable formulae and manuals.Responsibilities:• Assist Engineers and other Designers to deliver design drawings and final construction/detail drawings for engineering projects;• Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data, conforming to the applicable Formula formats;• Perform quantity take-offs from construction drawings for concrete and steel structures as required;• Responsible for drawing presentation, accuracy and determining sufficient level of detail required to facilitate fabrication; • Maintain drawing consistency with others in the department; • Understand drawing configuration and revisions, including proper file administration during drawing development; • Modify drawings by analyzing, resolving, and incorporating changes;• Check and verify design drawings to conform to dimensional requirements of the project and other disciplines;• Deliver drawing packages within the project schedule;• Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets;• General understanding of structural materials, building systems and construction procedures.Position Requirements Experienceamp; Education• Diploma of Technology in Structural Design or Structural CADD and Graphics Certificate;• 2 – 4 years experience in an engineering office or industrial plant with exposure to structural engineering;• Experience in the construction industry preferred, but not required• Attention to detail, specifically quality control to minimize deficiencies in real-time;• Time management and organizational skills to ensure project deadlines are met;• Strong oral and written communication skills, including active listening and interpersonal skills;• Work well in a fast pace and high-pressure environment.Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer.PI32670179-31181-6dfe9bb5b264
