Princeton is a community-oriented town with a diverse offering of activities, especially for those who love the outdoors. Princeton is also in close proximity to both the city ofVancouver and the Okanagan.Summary Reporting to the Supervisor, Mill Operations, the Grinding Operator is responsible for safe completion of circuit checks and reporting any failures immediately back to the supervisor.Key Responsibilities

• Operates fork-lift or other equipment as required,
• Conducts circuit checks, takes densities, and reports all mechanical failures immediately,
• Assists in operational problems of the circuit,
• Conducts all activities safely and follows all safety requirements and SOPs,
• Performs any other responsibilities related to the Grinding Operator position as required or as assigned by the department head.

Education & Experience

• Trained operating a grinding circuit,
• Experience completing shutdowns and startups is an asset,
• Possess a valid Class 5/7N driver’s license and have access to personal transportation.

Required Skills

• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills,
• Self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision,
• Strong work ethic, capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision,
• Have high regard for personal safety and the safety of company property and employees,
• Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously,
• Will be required to be clean-shaven,
• Required to meet pre-employment testing requirements.

Working Conditions

• Frequent exposure to uncomfortable conditions associated with the work environment such as noise and working in dusty and wet environments,
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, heavy lifting, awkward positions, walking and standing.

Other Requirements

• Successful completion of pre-employment screening requirements and drug & alcohol testing,
• Provide proof of a valid class 5/7N driver’s license,
• Demonstrate eligibility to work in Canada,
• Provide confirmation of valid educational requirements.
