Job Description

Come work, play and enjoy life in the beautiful, friendly town of Princeton! We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic veterinary assistant to join our growing team!

  • full- or part-time position available starting immediately
  • mixed practice with greater than 80% small animal case load along with some equine and farm animal patients
The ideal candidate will be confident, outgoing, professional and responsible, and must be able to adhere to our high standards of medicine and biosecurity. Candidates must be able to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs. in order to be able to safely restrain patients. Candidates must be at least 19 years of age so that they are able to assist with x-rays.The candidate will:
  • Assist Veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians by restraining patients for examinations, x-rays and other procedures
  • Assist with preparation of laboratory samples for evaluation
  • Help maintain a clean and well-sanitized clinic
  • Assist with the filling of prescriptions
  • Set up for surgeries and other procedures
  • Assist with care of hospitalized animals, such as feeding and walking patients
  • Assist with sterilization of medical equipment
  • Assist with client communication
