JOB POSTINGPositionWater Treatment/Maintenance OperatorWork SiteEnvirogreen Technologies Ltd. Contaminated Waste Treatment Facility is located approximately 20 KMSouthwest of Princeton, B.C. V0X 1W0.About Envirogreen TechnologiesEnvirogreen Technologies Ltd. (ETL) is an established waste management company, leading the way inthe treatment of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. Our permitted hazardous waste treatmentfacility located outside of Princeton, BC, utilizes thermal desorption technology to treat a wide range ofindustrial waste and contaminated soil.The OpportunityETL is looking for a Water Treatment/Maintenance Operator with proven experience to join our team.The Water Treatment/Maintenance Operator works under the direction of the designated Supervisorand works with other employees within the company to ensure safe work practices & policies,compliances and regulations are adhered.Main responsibilities: Maintain and operate water treatment plant, vacuum truck, water truck as well asother site services and equipment operation.The Water Treatment/Maintenance Operator will work closely with facility staff to create a positiveand safe working environment, be a resource to management and facility staff for health andsafety information and promote health and safety programs in the workplace.Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School or equivalent
  • Automotive/Mechanical experience is an asset
  • License: Valid Class 5 and access to reliable transportation
  • Language: English
Core Job Duties
  • Operate water pump and truck for site dust control
  • Operate vacuum truck to remove standing water from pad
  • Operate wastewater treatment facility
  • Liaise with Supervisors to manage water on facility pad and water requirements for plant/facility
operation
  • Daily ground condition inspections to ensure walkways, stairs, and landings all over site are free of
rocks/debris, mud, snow, and ice buildup
  • Daily inspection of all equipment and tools
  • Report all mobile & fixed equipment deficiencies for maintenance and repair
  • Maintain mechanical workshops and storage facilities in a clean, organized, and safe manner
  • Maintain an equipment service, maintenance, and repair record
  • Facility cleanup including snow removal in winter
  • Maintenance duties during shut down periods
  • Mechanical assistance as required
  • Liaise with Plant Operations Supervisor to fill equipment operation needs
  • Mobile equipment operation (skid steer/forklift/loader/vac truck/water truck/sweeper)
  • General labour duties as required
  • All other duties as requested by Supervisor or Manager
