We believe our residents deserve excellence in care and we strive to achieve this by working as a team towards our common goal – a happy and healthy resident.THE OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for Bus Driver to join our The Gardens at Qualicum Beach team in Qualicum Beach, B.C.What is in for you The bus driver will work on a contractual basis, approximately 15 – 20 hours per week. Renumeration paid at $27.50 per hour.PRIMARY DUTIESamp; KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate a bus for community outings, following a planned route according to a time schedule.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and immediately report any concerns to management.
  • Bus is to be cleaned out and washed/vacuumed regularly to ensure residents’ comfort.
  • Assist residents to and from the bus as required.
  • Deliver the bus to scheduled service appointments.
  • Responsible for all funds/gas cards assigned to them, including reconciliation (i.e. handing in receipts, change)
  • Ensure the highest resident safety and well-being
  • Monitor, report, and document changes in resident’s behavior.
  • Report any incidents that occur on outing to the General Manager.
  • Abide by The Care Group code of conduct.
Qualifications:
  • Unrestricted Class 4 Driver’s License.
  • Must be in good health and be physically able to perform all aspects of the position.
  • Be fluent in verbal, written, and electronic communication in English.
  • Must agree to participate in the Criminal Records Check process conducted through the Ministry of Public Safetyamp; Solicitor General in accordance with the Criminal Records Review Act at your own cost.
  • Previous experience with vulnerable adults is an asset.
  • Current First Aid certificate is preferred.
