With thousands of experts around the world and high-performance digital technology, ABBs team is dedicated to making measurement easy for its industrial and energy customers to let them operate more efficiently and profitably.In this position, you will be responsible for the design and update of electronic systems for ABBs Measurement and Analysis products in the Process Automation (PA) division, ensuring the highest level of quality for our industrial products.Reporting to the Supervisor of the Electronics Group, you will work as an Electronic Designer (intern) within the Electrical Engineering team (Electronics Group).This position reports toEngineering ManagerYour responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic circuits, including modeling and simulation, both digital and analog.
  • Select electronic parts.
  • Design and program test benches or tools.
  • Design embedded software (microcontroller, FPGA) and test software (Python).
  • Participate in the drafting of design documentation, technical budgets and test and start-up documentation.
  • Participate in the commissioning and testing of electronic boards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and present, at different stages, the progress of the work.
Your background
  • Student in the Bachelor of Computer/Electrical Engineering or student in the DEC Programmable Electronics and Robotics (TSO).
  • Knowledge of Python programming
  • Knowledge of C programming on a microcontroller, an asset
  • Knowledge of VHDL programming, an asset.
  • Skill in prototyping and start-up of electronic boards.
  • Knowledge of the following software is an asset: Altium Designer, Pspice, MS Office, Matlab.
  • Good knowledge of French and English, spoken and written.
