Overview:The Ungava Tulattavik Health Center is located in Kuujjuaq and offers the whole health and social services in the eastern part of Nunavik. Serving seven Inuit communities with an equal number of CLSC, a center for the elderly and the hospital in Kuujjuaq, it employs approximately 1,000 employees: administrators, professionals, doctors, dentists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, support staff, etc.Nunavik communities are located north of the 55th parallel where a subarctic climate prevails. It implies the existence of permafrost allowing no agriculture. Nunavik is the largest region covering about a third of the total area of Quebec. No road link exists between the communities of Nunavik and southern Quebec, and between Nunavik communities themselves. We have access to the region and its communities by air travel and by boat.Responsibilities:Patients Service Driver - KuujjuaqSTATUS: Temporary Part Time (recall list) - Shifts on rotation; days, evenings, nights, week-ends - 38.75 hours/weekSTARTING DATE: As soon as possibleFUNCTIONS:Ensures patient’s transportation with the ambulance during medical emergency situations;Ensures the transport, security and the wellbeing of the users;Ensure coach services, transportation and delivery of medication, laboratory boxes and others, in accordance with the working routine and upon special requests from immediate supervisor.Qualifications:Secondary 5 academic background;Knowledge of English (spoken and written); knowledge of Inuktitut would be an asset;Must have a valid driver’s license class 4-A (or in process to obtain);No active or pending criminal record;Sense of responsibilities, autonomy and assiduity;Excellent physical condition, able to lift regularly heavy loads;Available to work on rotation; days, evenings, nights and on weekends;Ensure emergency on-call duty, on rotation;First responder training an asset, will be trained if needed.Conditions :SALARY: 900.55$ / 38.75 hoursISOLATION PREMIUM: 203.66$/ WeekCARGO PREMIUM: 61.16$/ WeekQuick Apply
