Air Liquide is listed on the Euronext Paris stock exchange (compartment A) and belongs to the CAC 40, EURO STOXX 50 and FTSE4 Good indexes.Missions and ResponsibilitiesThe position is responsible for coordinating, supervising production and maintenance operations in a timely manner while enforcing plant procedures and rules. The incumbent is responsible for training and evaluating plant personnel on safety, quality and production efficiencies.Main responsibilities:

  • Plans daily production activities: Establishes the production action plan and makes the necessary changes, aiming for operational efficiency and taking into account cost and time factors. Establishes and monitors performance indicators.
  • Analyzes production monitoring: Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance and operations reports to determine the causes of non-conformance to product specifications and operational or production problems and determines the actions to be implemented to improve operations.
  • Controls operations: Ensures facilities, equipment and plant yard are maintained in accordance with industry best practices. Ensures that the implementation of operating procedures, safety and quality plans are respected and followed. Ensures the safe handling, storage and filling of high pressure gas and cryogenic liquid cylinders under pressure.
  • Coaches and develops the team: Trains and coaches team members to achieve objectives. Develops technical training plans for the group and ensures implementation. Conducts performance evaluations of team members and provides feedback to employees.
  • Manages the budget: Establishes and manages the budget (production and maintenance). Makes proposals for its optimization. Directs choices in terms of operating expenses. Ensures the profitability of investments. Communicates all corresponding administrative reports.
  • Technical process improvement: Contributes innovative ideas and vision and participates in projects.
  • Communicates internally and with customers: Communicates effectively with employees to ensure optimal operations by prioritizing customer requirements and expectations Advances customer satisfaction.
Competencies and Profile
  • You have an university degree or diploma (Engineering an asset).
  • You have relevant supervisory experience.
  • You are comfortable working with unionized plant employees.
