Guavus also partners with leading network equipment vendors and cloud service providers to further extend its reach to customers around the world.Guavus is in search of a Product Marketing Manager (PMM). Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing within the Product Line Management organization, the PMM is responsible for the success of go-to-market activities for the Guavus family of products.Key Responsibilities:Writing – Content generation is a significant part of this role. You will be developing content for various audiences both internal and external. You will not be responsible for copy editing. Writing samples may be requested.Content strategy – You need to understand the different marketing channels that will be used by the Campaign Marketing team and be able to organize your writing to fit those channels. Understand how you can use the same core messaging to create individual copy for: long-form content (whitepapers, e-books, webinar decks), blogs, social media posts, videos, event abstracts, web pages and more.Sales enablement – You will need to ensure that the sales team and channels are fully prepared to move customers and prospects through the sales funnel. This includes creating pitch decks, play cards, data sheets, competitive battle cards and technical tools such as demos. This also includes developing and delivering sales training.Technical savvy – You will be working with highly technical people, but your deliverables will need to communicate complex technical ideas in very consumable, non-technical ways. You need to have experience interviewing people and researching technical terms and concepts in order to translate features and benefits to customer value.Presentation skills – Must have the ability to regularly create sufficiently attractive and coherent slides, speak to them articulately in live Zoom sessions and confidently entertain Q&A from an audience. No graphic design skills are needed.Hard skillsProduct Marketing - Has the hard skills necessary to function in product marketing. In other words, you have solid business sense and extensive experience with the fundamentals of product marketing (voice of the customer, persona development, problem statements, ideal customer profiles, segmentation, positioning, messaging, use cases, buyer journeys, etc.) and project management.Organization & Project Management - Manages themselves, their workload and time in a manner that ensures constant, steady progress on projects. In other words, you can create a project plan based on limited inputs and execute on that plan from beginning to end. You don’t miss deadlines, and if asked, you can speak to the status of each project on-the-spot.Soft skillsCuriosity/Tenacity - Displays a genuine interest in customers, the market, the industry, and the internal organization and how it functions. You need the tenacity to get people to explain things to you in layman’s terms – even if that means asking ‘why’ multiple times or interviewing the same person multiple times until you get it right.
