Job Description

For CUPE postings please refer to Article 9.01 (d) of the CUPE Collective Agreement to ensure you have met the eligibility requirements to apply to CUPE competitions.Employment Status Full Time Employment Type Leave Replacement Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Regional Principal or Designate, this position is responsible for programming, marketing, and supporting programs in the assigned portfolio:Specific DutiesProgram Administration and Support

  • Support and nurture collaborative, collegial relationships with all campuses in a way that supports the vision of the college
  • Prepare timetables for courses and programs and classroom assignments
  • Assess community demand for courses and programs
  • Develop project, course, program budgets as required
  • Develop programs for the community, including course objectives, appropriate content, course costing, and course descriptions
  • Ensure course paperwork is complete
  • In collaboration with the Office of the Registrar open, close, and/or cancel
courses as required
  • As determined by the Regional Principal or designate and in response to operational needs, duties may be allocated to support Office of the Registrar, CE, or Trades which may include program support, responding to student inquiries, and assisting with administration functions
  • Collect student feedback data (non-instructional) re: services and activities
  • Prepare Agreements to Teach and Contract Development Worksheets
  • Prepare minutes of meetings as required
Student Support
  • Participate in Student Loan workshops; arrange student orientation and appreciation events
  • Communicate with students regarding course information
Instructor Support
  • Arrange for instructors, facilities, materials and equipment as required for the courses
  • Prepare program documents and forms as required
  • Communicate with instructors regarding course information
  • Conduct and compile course evaluations
  • Administer questionnaires for Student Reports on Teaching (SRTs)
  • Coordinate and monitor courses, ensure instructor(s) has required equipment and material
Public Information and Promotion
  • Collaborate with marketer on strategies and development of promotional materials
  • Participate in recruitment and information session events
  • Collaborate with campus recruiter on recruitment and retention strategies
Other
  • Participate in campus and college committees as required
  • You will be part of a team actively engaged in contributing to and accomplishing the vision, mission, and goals of the College and in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners and communities
  • You will promote a positive work atmosphere and communicate in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues
  • Other related duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
  • Recognized one (1) year certificate in Project Management or Business Admin
  • Minimum one year relevant post-secondary education, preferably project management or business administration, or equivalent
  • 3 years previous related work experience
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Previous knowledge and experience with the community and/or adult education program
  • Flexibility of work habits
  • Marketing experience preferred
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Power Point
