The successful candidate will have experience working with heavy equipment and will be responsible for ensuring that our machinery operates efficiently and safely.Responsibilitiesamp; Duties:

• Inspect Equipment: Perform regular inspections on haul trucks, bulldozers, excavators, graders, and other heavy construction equipment to assess performance and detect faults or malfunctions.
• Diagnose Issues: Use computerized and other testing equipment to accurately diagnose the extent of necessary repairs.
• Repair and Replace: Adjust equipment, repair, or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools.
• Testing: Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers #39; specifications.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and servicing attachments and working tools (e.g., blades, buckets, booms).
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentice mechanics.

Qualificationsamp; Skills:

• Certification: Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification - On/Off Road.
• Experience:
  • Journeyperson - 3 years of experience preferred.
  • Consideration may be given to 3rd or 4th year apprentices.
• Safety-Conscious: A strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
• Work Schedule: Regular working hours are 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Overtime may be required on an as-needed basis.
