Meliadine is located just northwest of Rankin Inlet, a small coastal town on the shores of Hudson Bay. Commercial production began at Meliadine in mid-May 2019 and the mine officially opened at the end of June. This mine is our largest gold deposit in terms of mineral resources and we expect to operate it for at least 14 years. The site features a power plant and processing facilities, as well as a complete camp complex.YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE: Reporting to the Maintenance Assistant Superintendent, you will be part of the Maintenance Department and collaborate closely with the Maintenance General Supervisor, Reliability Specialists, Planners, Warehouse and other departments of the mine. You will be responsible for supporting the Mobile Maintenance department on the planning, execution and technical side, and will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• PCR/Mid-Life planning and execution coordination;
• Support PCR long term strategy with Asset Management;
• Quality control of execution;
• Technical support on mobile equipment (purchase, modification projects, repair business opportunities, benchmark with other mine sites and businesses, etc.);
• Work in collaboration with the reliability team to find solution to recurrent issues and increase the availability of our fleet;
• Projects management (equipment modifications/optimization, initiatives to increase productivity of the fleet, etc);
• Support supervisors in identifying and resolving efficiencies issues, roadblocks and bottlenecks;
• Coordinate technical training to the natural team in collaboration with the GS;
• Support onsite rebuilt strategy;
• Provide leadership and mentoring for Health and Safety culture and awareness.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Maintenance Technician/Technologist, Certified Tradesman, or a combination of education (graduate of college maintenance program) and work experiences (A degree in Engineering will be considered an asset);
• 10+ years’ mining experience focused on mobile equipment;
• Demonstrated experience in asset management and project management;
• Proven ability to deliver results and act as a change agent;
• Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Visio.

• Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
• Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and may accommodate to cover other travelling expenses.
