The Incumbent, under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager, will be responsible for working in public housing units conducting routine repairs and maintenance procedures, in response to tenant and/or housing code requirements. More directly in carrying out Carpentry related duties, as may be assigned by the Housing Maintenance Manager.Requirements: Ø Carpenter Journeyman certificate/Red Seal.Ø Must posses a demonstrated interest and aptitude for working in Carpentry and Housing Maintenance.Ø The successful candidate must posses a valid class 5 driver’s license.Ø Ability to speak Inuktitut and experience with Inuit Culture is considered an asset.Ø Willingness to share knowledge and provide instruction to Apprentice CarpentersØ Must have basic toolsJob Type: Fixed term contractContract length: 12 monthsSalary: $41.82-$49.82 per hourBenefits:
