Job Description

Introduction: We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work with traditional machine tools in a collaborative environment. If you have a strong background in manual machining, a commitment to quality, and a desire to contribute to a supportive team, we #39;d love to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain manual machine tools, including horizontal boring mills, milling machines, lathes, and drilling machines.
  • Interpret and work from mechanical drawings to produce precision parts and components.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Perform mechanical work with the training provided.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Lift and handle materials up to 25kg as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with a small team to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain a Class 5 drivers license.
  • Machining training certificate from a recognized secondary education facility.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in manual machining.
  • Proficiency in operating horizontal boring mills, milling machines, lathes, and drilling machines.
  • Understanding of mechanical drawings and strong record-keeping skills.
  • No physical restrictions; must be able to lift up to 25kg.
  • Basic welding skills with a willingness to learn TIG/MIG welding.
  • Self-motivated with a pride in workmanship.
  • Ability to work well in a small team environment.
Beneficial Skills:

  • Advanced welding skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Inventor.
