Job Description

Expert IT Solutions is seeking a full-time Computer Systems Technician in our Red Deer location.Expert IT Solutions is part of the Phone Experts Group of companies. Expert IT Solutions is built on a culture that values growth, integrity and kindness.Your Responsibilities and Duties would include:

  • Providing remote and on-site technical support, troubleshooting for desktop support
  • Monitor and respond to incoming service requests by phone, email or in-person
  • Configuration, upgrading, installing and repairing IT assets
  • Identifying and recommending solutions to clients
  • PC Hardware, software and peripherals managements and troubleshooting
  • Management of Microsoft server and desktop operating systems
Your Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum of 2 years systems support experience in a hands-on technical role
  • Diploma or University degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Excellent Customer Service
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Highly proficient at identifying user and system issues and resolving or escalation
  • Valid drivers license and vehicle
  • Fundamental Knowlege or exposure to the following:
  • Microsoft 365, including SharePoint
  • Cloud services (Azure, Amazon Web Services, other)
  • Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Windows 8.1/10
  • Virtualization Technologies and Wireless LAN would be an asset
  • Exchange Server 2013/2016/2019, SQL Server 2012 (or later)
  • Network Services/Protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCPIP, VLAN)
  • Firewall Technologies (Including but not limited to Meraki)
  • Experience with wireless networking
  • Remote Monitoring and Management Software
  • Backup Applications, including monitoring and management of on and off-site backups
  • Desktop Support – Applications/Virus Removal/Mobile Devices, and Office 2013/2016/2019/365
