Job Description

A HOTEL WITH THE FREEDOM OF STYLE!Located in the heart of Central Alberta, the CAMBRIDGE HOTEL & CONFERENCE CENTRE *red deer is the ideal place to grow your career in hospitality while providing excellent and personalized service to our guests while working within a positive team environment.We are currently looking for an experienced Outlet Supervisor to fill a full-time opening working within our Food and Beverage departments. This includes our lounge and restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to work as a team player and leader in a fast-paced environment. The Outlet Supervisor must be well organized, creative and possess superior communication and interpersonal skills and must possess the ability to display a passion for excellent customer service while working in an energetic and dynamic environment.*Key Responsibilities: *

  • Example in guest service skills ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Communicate with guests to ensure satisfaction with product quality and service
  • Assist in performance manage with associates as required by the Outlet Manager
  • Check food for taste, temperature and presentation
  • Communicate with other departments and teams in a positive manner
  • Report any concerns regarding maintenance as required
  • Maintain adequate level of supplies in the outlets utilizing the appropriate requisition procedures
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly inventory
  • Be knowledgeable about all menu items regarding food and beverage able to answer questions or concerns that may arise
  • Work regular shifts when required, handle customer complaints and assist associates as necessary
  • Ensure that area remains clean, maintained and properly stocked
  • Establish and enforce Hotel policies, rules and regulations
  • Enforce all applicable liquor and gaming laws
  • Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in Food and Beverage supervision
  • Reel Facts, ProTect and ProServe Certifications (through AGLC)
  • Ability to train staff and help them to continue to improve and develop their skills
  • Mature and professional appearance
  • The ability to work well under pressure and be detail oriented
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels; both inside and outside of the organization
  • Must be fluent in English, both written and oral
  • Standard First Aid with CPR & AED certification is an asset
