Job Description

This is the next step towards your law enforcement career!On a typical day, you will be responsible for:

  • Enforce property rules, city bi-laws, and other applicable laws
  • Deter and respond to incidents on property
  • Monitoring CCTV systems
  • Responding to intrusion detection
  • Respond to all emergencies such as fire, aggression, chemical spill, infant abductions, bomb threats, hostage taking and evacuation
  • Complete reports and memo book entries on a regular basis
  • Compile the necessary reports for court dates
  • Ensure the protection of people, assets, and property
  • Monitor access of entryways and exit points
  • Conduct preventive surveillance rounds
  • Point of contact with authorities and emergency services
  • Provide keys and temporary pass to visitors/employees
  • Maintaining a positive, productive work environment through positive teamwork
  • Removal of unauthorized individuals.

What we are looking for:
  • Maintaining a positive, productive work environment through positive teamwork
  • Good verbal and written communication skills English is required; French is an asset
  • Be able to handle large crowds
  • Previous experience in the security industry (asset)
  • Valid Alberta Provincial Security Guard license
  • Strong computer skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Must be able to obtain police information check with Vulnerable Sector
  • Must be able to work days, evening and nights any day.
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment
  • Criminal Justice Diploma considered an asset
  • Be eligible to work in Canada
