This position will provide guidance to Service Technicians on diagnostics (or repairs), working on the tools 50% of the time roughly (billing out time), monitoring work inside the shop and quality control regarding repairs. Previous experience performing repairs and diagnostics on agriculture equipment is required.What does the role look likeAssign jobs to technicians based on their skills and knowledgeDirect and assist technicians in the diagnosis of machine problems so that the repairs are completed in a timely mannerMonitoring the progress of all jobs inside the shopExecutes dealership Quality Control initiatives for equipment leaving the shopCoordinate technician training with the Corporate Service Manager; assign jobs to coincide with trainingEnsure that all technicians are complying to company policies and procedures for safetyInspect and repair all special tools and recommend new toolingAdvise Service Manager of all customer or employee complaintsReview all completed work orders for completeness and accuracy concerning partsWarranty information too, if applicableProvide estimates to customers as required and creating work orders as requiredMaintaining a clean and organized shopMeet with technicians routinely to review Service Department performanceMeet daily with Service Manager to review Service Department performance and personnel mattersAnswer customer telephone calls as required; make outbound telephone calls as required to keep customers informed of the status of their repairsBill approximately 50% of available time (performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics)Discipline technicians as required, or recommend disciplinary action to Service ManagerPerform other duties as directed by ManagementKeep track and organize with customer for product improvement programs/recall programsBook and organize all internal and external trucksWhat are we looking forStrong leadership experience or aptitude to lead a team of Service TechniciansMinimum 3 years of experience as a Service Technician performing diagnostics and mechanical repairs on agriculture equipment requiredExperience as a Shop Foreman would be idealGreat communication skillsAbility to make good decisions under pressureStrong motivation to get the job done in an efficient manner and to maintain positive customer experiencesWhat's in it for youCompetitive compensation package with an incentive programAn awesome health, dental and optical benefits packageAn Employee Stock Purchase Program, matching begins after one yearA great health, dental and optical benefits package.Opportunities for growth in your career as the Cervus organization expandsOpening of a new branch in Nipawin, SK in 2020Acquired Deermart Equipment in Red Deer, AB in 2018Opening of a newly built John Deere dealership in Ponoka, AB in 2015Acquisition of 12 Peterbilt dealerships in Ontario in 2014Working for a world-leading equipment dealerEmployee referral bonus
