Job Description

Arctic Arrow is a Canadian owned and operated company specializing in powerline transmission, distribution, and underground cable work. We offer exemplary construction and maintenance services in the power utility sector across Canada. As we continue to grow, Arctic Arrow is looking for a Heavy Haul Class 1 Truck Driver. Responsibilities

  • Maintain and ensure a high level of safety
  • Ensure a daily JHA, attend all safety meetings and daily tailboard meetings
  • Perform equipment walk-around inspections
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems, field repair minor fixes and communicate major issues with mechanics
  • Maintain a clean drivers abstract
  • Working for upwards of 21 days away from home
  • Work overtime daily
  • Adaptable to changing shifts and conditions
RequirementsRequirements and Qualifications
  • Hold a valid Class 1 driver’s license
  • Clean drivers abstract - Minimum 5 years
  • Minimum 5 years’ Experience
  • Drive safely and in compliance with all company regulations
  • Familiarity with E-logs (pre-trip, post-trip)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to follow safe working procedures
  • Must have low bed truck experience
  • Must have heavy haul experience
  • Must be able to load and unload equipment with little or no supervision on site
  • Maintain a professional attitude
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
  • Excellent observation skills and strong attention to detail
