Red Lake is known for its natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and incredible Canadian fishing in the many freshwater lakes in the area. The Red Lake district is located 180 kilometers north of Dryden about 100 kilometers from the Manitoba border in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. It spans 42,000 hectares and has produced over 29 million ounces of gold since 1949. Our Red Lake Operation includes underground mining and processing complexes in Balmertown and Cochenour, as well as the Bateman Project.About the roleThe Lead Geologist offers an exceptional opportunity to communicate with senior geology staff on all strategic decisions dealing with the geologic process on grade estimation, grade control, resources and reconcilliation.Key results areas in this role include:

• Help provide supervision, coaching and mentoring to support mine geology staff to ensure team effectiveness and achieve best practices
• Ensure daily ore production data is accurately reported
• Support mine geologists in underground development/long-hole inspections, and the timely and accurate collection of underground mapping and sample data
• Plan, monitor and review grade control diamond drill programs and log drill core to RLO standards
• Create and update 3D geological interpretations through incorporation of grade control data
• Geological review of development and long-hole plans
• Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation, and commitment to satisfy our operation #39;s goal of being accident-free.
• Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements
• Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures

About YouAs a Lead Geologist, you will have a Bachelor #39;s Degree in Geology with the ability to apply as a Professional Geoscientist in the province of Ontario.It is also important that you demonstrate:

• Minimum of 4 years underground production geology experience in precious metal mining
• Ability to understand the mine plan and scheduling of stopes to meet monthly and quarterly production targets while optimizing the economic extraction of reserves
• Have an understanding of grade control and sampling practices
• Solid comprehension of how to target, design and manage diamond drill programs
• Ability to interpret geology and communicate drill results
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Knowledge of AcQuire, Deswik, Datamine and Leapfrog is preferred
