  • Provides critical thinking support to deliver financial results
  • Support the Decision Support team in providing thought leadership that enables the site to make informed, high quality and timely decisions
  • Support the annual operating/capital budgets and monthly forecasting process
  • Provide financial variance analysis, trending, identifying cost drivers and other insights into financial results including how this affects future financial decisions of the site
  • Support predictive analysis including key cost drivers or areas of focus through-out the month for the Site to achieve Forecast/Budget
  • Support product costing – review of allocation approaches, review comparability across sites and align where possible to enable better business decisions
  • Advise and provide production managers with production and inventory forecasts
  • Ensure accurate reporting of plant production performances, e.g., production, usage, efficiency
  • Provide valuable insights through the analysis and aggregation of multiple data sets, extracting complex financial outputs in a manner that is understandable and actionable by management
  • Provide ad-hoc decision support including analysis & reporting as well as involvement in relevant site level projects to business partners
  • Work closely with the Plant Finance team to support the business with interpretation and implementation of accounting policies
  • Support various continuous improvement and strategic initiatives across the Plant Finance group
  • Other duties as assigned
What you will bring:
  • Post-secondary degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 3-5 years post-qualification experience in a related field
  • Professional accounting or finance designation in progress or attained is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple competing priorities in an adaptable environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with in-depth knowledge of Excel and Analytical Tools
  • Working knowledge of SAP/BW
  • Experience with SAP/BW, HANA, Hyperion, and larger ERP systems an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work autonomously while meeting competing deadlines
  • Thorough Problem-Solving Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analysis data into meaningful information
