Job Description

Formed in 2009, OCL started their first project and began building around a business model focused on “People and Doing the Job Right”.The RoleWe are currently looking to add two Spark Watch Attendants to our group for a project in Redwater.Start Date: Mid-MarchRotation: Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 5:00pm (10 hours/day)Rate: $20.00/hourPay Schedule: Weekly Pay (Friday)What You Will Be Doing

  • Ensure safety of other workers at our project site
  • Follow rules, policies and procedures as per client and OCL standards
  • Monitor designated areas for signs of fire or smoke (example: around welders welding)
  • Know where all safety equipment is located: fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, shower units, etc.
  • Continuously observing hot work actively for detection of, and response tpo, fires during hot work operations.
Requirements
  • Firewatch Ticket from Energy Canada (course training will be provided by OCL Group)
  • High attention to detail. Remain alert and ability to take initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to/from site
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions on an industrial site
  • Additional tickets: H2S Alive, WHMIS 2015
Physical RequirementsEmployees will be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch or crawl.
