Temporary Part-Time Minor Test Shopper, Cannabis (In-Scope Level 1)Cannabis Licensing and Inspections Branch, Regina and Saskatoon Vacancy # 48/F25The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority is seeking a temporary part-time Minor Test Shopper, Cannabis to join its Cannabis Licensing and Inspections branch. While hours are not guaranteed, this position offers flexibility and the chance to be a part of this result-oriented team.Who We’re Looking ForThis opportunity is excellent for motivated and detail-oriented individuals in Regina and Saskatoon. As a Minor Test Shopper, Cannabis you will work in collaboration with the Cannabis Inspector to monitor and ensure compliance of licensed cannabis establishments with provincial regulations regarding the sale and distribution of cannabis in Saskatchewan. The primary responsibility of the Minor Test Shopper, Cannabis is to enter licensed cannabis establishments and attempt to purchase cannabis to verify their compliance with these requirements.Core Competencies (Job Family – Business Support)

Primary Responsibilities
  • Travel with Inspectors to licensed cannabis establishments in both urban and rural Saskatchewan.
  • May be required to travel with Inspectors to licensed liquor establishments in both urban and rural Saskatchewan, as needed.
  • Enter licensed cannabis establishments and attempt to purchase cannabis products.
  • Compile comprehensive observation reports.
  • Compile comprehensive statements.
  • Provide testimony in administrative hearings.
Required Technical Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
  • Minor Test Shoppers must be 18 years old.
  • The completion of SLGA’s training program for Minor Test Shoppers.
  • Ability to follow very specific directions.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to surroundings.
  • Ability to safeguard confidential information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong observation skills.
Shift RequirementAvailability on weekdays, evenings, nights, or weekends and for occasional overnight stays as needed.Working Conditions As a Minor Test Shopper, Cannabis travel within Saskatchewan is required and may occur during inclement and/or poor travel conditions.
