Critically review and assess accounting documents, tax returns and financial reports to ensure accuracy of all information.Will consider:- CPA- Accountant without a designation - Bookkeeper-Accountant or bookkeeper interested in working only during tax season.Requirements:- Post-secondary Accounting education or training is an asset.- Related bookkeeping/full cycle accounting experience, with a strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices and legislative/tax requirements.Experience in a public accounting firm is an asset.- Canadian tax experience is requiredpersonal and/or corporate income tax.- General accounting knowledge and experience in bank reconciliations, accounts receivables/payables as well as basic payroll entries and calculations. Ideally 2 or more of the following qualifications: - Quickbooks online proficiency;- Quickbooks Desktop proficiency- Basic Simply Accounting/Sage proficiency - CaseWare working papers proficiency- Excel proficiency- Tax prep or equivalent (T-1 and T2)knowledge and experience of preparing personal tax returns and corporate tax returns.- Motivated and professional with a positive upbeat personality and strong communication and telephone skills. - Strong listening skills, attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. - A self-directed and critical thinker; well organized with strong work ethics and accountability.
