Job Description

Air Technician (H2S Safety Supervisor)What We DoWe deliver essential health and safety services to a wide range of companies and help to protect and support workers in remote oil field, pipeline, and industrial settings.About the RoleWe are looking for an Air Technician for our Weyburn location. A day in the life of an Air Technician requires courage and compassion; facing diverse and interesting situations where you directly affect people’s lives by your actions.Position Benefits

  • Consistent work on a rotational schedule

  • Paid per hour in accordance with normal daily/weekly overtime legislation; we do not use Oilwell Servicing exemptions to average overtime

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with client representative on dayto-day operations
  • Provide safety support to client representative including any reasonable request outside normal duties
  • Maintain vehicles, shacks, and work areas in a clean, tidy, and professional condition
  • Provide complete and accurate handover information to relieving Air Technician
  • Maintain a mature and professional relationship with all personnel in the work area including coworkers, supervisors, and mangers
  • Assist managers in providing training to less experiences coworkers
  • Ensure training competency goals are met as laid out in "Training and Competencies"
  • Participate and cooperate with HSE Integrated management in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of all policies, procedures, and programs
  • Ensure that all pertinent paperwork is completed accurately, neatly and in a timely manner.
  • Understand the functions and maintenance of the equipment
  • Report and communicate regularly to Central Dispatch on the following critical changes necessary that may directly affect dispatch
  • Maintain a daily journal of all activities directly related to the job
  • Maintain a light duty drivers log
  • Report all deficiencies to senior staff and/or direct supervisor
Qualifications
  • Experience working on an industrial job site
  • H2S Alive
  • Non GDL Class 5 (or equivalent) driver’s License; Class 4 if working in BC for forestry work
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
  • Standard First Aid
  • CSTS - Considered an Asset
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Fall Protection
