As well work with IT to model, test and implement new software systems and existing software enhancements to help with the standardizing efforts and train all field users.Role Responsibilities:

  • Work with our various data query tools and databases to extract data and perform analysis to understand current data set up and develop strategies to standardize
  • Understand the data and make recommendations throughout project design and implementation to ensure data integrity
  • Closely work with internal business customers and IT to design, test and implement the data solution to meet various project demands and then train the end users
  • Review data and work with subject matter experts within the company as well as our vendor community to determine proper master data set up
  • Develop, maintain and automate data reports using reporting tool (such as IBM Cognos, SQL, Tableau, and Excel & Visual Basic)
  • Perform data cleansing on large datasets with focus on data quality
  • Work with IT to create Master Data Management environment and populate with standardized data
  • Work with sites across Canada to implement new master data within site environments and assess overall progress via reporting
  • Develop automated reports and Excel Macro tools for end users
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
  • Minimum two (2+) years job related experience in Data Management and Business Analysis
  • Proven experience working with large amount of data and perform data cleansing
  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Business or Finance required
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Business or Technology preferred
  • Experience with Merchandising, Finance and Pricing functions
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel (Expert level), and Outlook as well as Cognos Impromptu and Powerplay (SPAR), AS400, and Internet applications
  • Understand concept of relational database, have experience with extracting data from various sources and perform analytical tasks
  • Work experience on projects in as asset
  • Understanding of VBA (or other coding tool) and experience with DB2 system and Microsoft SQL Server is an asset
  • Exposure to Informatica Data quality (or any other data quality tool) is an asset
