Our multi-disciplinary team comprises environmental professionals specializing in aquatic and terrestrial biology, soil science, vegetation ecology, environmental assessment, environmental auditing, environmental monitoring/inspection, and resource management. We also offer a competitive wage and benefits package.THE ROLEThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading field programs and providing technical support to project managers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Leading aquatic and/or terrestrial field programsSupervising and training junior field staffProviding technical leadership within a team environmentLiaising with on-site client representatives and contractorsData collection, compilation, and reportingWorking collaboratively within Triton corporate cultureMust be able to travel and work remotely for durations of up to 2 weeks at a time.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSSkills and qualifications include:B.Sc. or M.Sc. in biology or related fieldR.P Bio or eligibility for registration with the BC College of Applied Biology or equivalent professional designationMinimum of three years of relevant experienceTechnical knowledge in aquatics and/or terrestrial biologyExtensive field experience leading aquatic and/or terrestrial programsSignificant experience with environmental monitoring and/or environmental inspectionMulti-jurisdictional knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and permit application processesAdept in the operation and maintenance of required field equipmentProven ability to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent verbal and written communications skillsStrong interpersonal skills and collaborative working styleSuperior problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the boxProficient in the operation of off-highway vehiclesValid Class 5 driver’s licenseExperience providing monitoring and/or inspection services on pipeline construction projects considered an assetExperience operating boats, including jet-drive, considered an assetHOW TO APPLYIf this opportunity sounds like you, and you are serious about joining a progressive team of environmental consultants, please apply with a resume and cover letter.Closing Date: December 31, 2022 (Will be extended as required)Website: www.triton-env.comWe thank all applicants for their interest.Please note that only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
