Job Description

We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Budtenders for our First Nations-owned cannabis store. Selected candidates can look forward to steady future career growth with an excellent benefit package, if they prove to be committed and capable sales persons.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with all guests to ensure all their needs are met in a timely manner
  • Receive orders and cash in/out
  • Complete all daily tasks and merchandising while prioritizing guest needs
  • Ensure that we relay all concerns and feedback to the Manager on Duty (“MOD”)
  • Complete opening and closing duties
  • Demonstrates accountability, collaboration, courage and creativity in day to day operations.
  • Advising guests on cannabis products based on their preference and budget
  • Processing customers’ payments using our Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Educating customers on the safe use of their selected cannabis products
  • Checking customers legal, non-expired, identification to verify that they are of legal age
  • Taking inventory of cannabis products and ensuring that the sales floor is adequately stocked
  • Ensuring that the store is clean and well-organized at all times
  • Create an educational and informative experience for all customers, regardless of their experience with the plant or any of its derivatives. In-house training will be provided.
  • Recommend products including cannabis flower, seeds, and cannabis/smoking accessories to customers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Experience in sales and customer service preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player mentality
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical problems
  • Attention to detail
  • Passion and excitement for cannabis and all of its derivatives
  • Desire to educate customers and the community about the benefits associated with cannabis use without giving medical advice
  • Knowledge of cannabis strains, products and accessories is an asset
  • 19+. Provincial cannabis certification is an asset
  • Knowledge of cannabis products on our menu
  • Passionate about cannabis with the willing to learn
  • Working knowledge of cannabis strains and products
  • Proficiency in cash handling and customer service
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Acceptable and up-to-date Criminal Record Check
Job Types: Full-time, Part-timeSchedule:
  • 8 hour shift
Experience:
  • customer service: 1 year (preferred)
