Business Configuration Analyst - FIN004593Employment Type: SGEU Term 9 months or moreLocation(s): SK-Rgna-ReginaMinistry: 018 FinanceSalary Range: $38.994-$47.458 HourlySalary Supplement: included in hourly salary range (in-scope)Grade: SGEU.10.The Revenue Division of the Ministry of Finance has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration Business Analyst to provide support to the Division for an enterprise tax and revenue management system (Revenue Premier®). This position will report to the supervisor in the Revenue Business and Systems Support work unit in the Revenue Operations Branch and provide support and technical expertise in the areas of configuration, business analysis, and change and release coordination activities for the Tax Administration and Compliance System (TACS).In this challenging position, the Configuration Business Analyst acts as a support and change agent that provides a lead role in business operations and improvement activities within the Division to ensure client expectations, requirements, and government priorities are met. Specific responsibilities include:

• Providing daily business system support for the systems in the division and assisting staff to ensure the processes supported by the system are delivered within the organization’s objectives and client service standards.
• Planning, coordinating and managing the change and release processes for the Divisions integrated tax and revenue management system, client portal, portfolio warehouse, audit work paper toolkit and the integration to the Divisions remaining legacy systems while ensuring adequate and appropriate resources are available through scheduling and coordinating across the organization and external partners.
• Providing business analysis support to the Revenue Division related to improving business and system processes through enhancements to the system and or adapting to changes. Responsibilities including documenting test requirements and testing changes to the system.
• Developing and maintaining business and data information models, ensuring accurate data and business rules are defined and applied to provide accurate reporting and tax client information.
• Collaborating with staff across the Division to develop reports, queries and data extracts to support effective program analysis in assessing strategic priorities and reporting on outcomes.
• Developing and documenting standards and procedures that must be followed by the team, service delivery partners and external vendors to ensure a sustained support approach. Responsible for developing end user training and guides to provide information on functionality and usability of the system and develops online help and user information for the client portal.

You will have knowledge of:

• Business needs analysis and business process improvement methodologies, tools and processes, understanding of project management methodologies and process.
• Database, spreadsheet and word processing software and tools.
• Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), SharePoint, JAMS Scheduling Software, SAS Analytics, FICO Blaze Business rule engine, EngageOne Designer, IBM WebSphere Portal and Web content manager.
