Community Services Worker - HUM011105Employment Type: CUPE Term Full-timeLocation(s): SK-Rgna-Regina SK-Central East-Yorkton, SK-South East-EstevanMinistry: 036 Social ServicesSalary Range: $31.941 - $38.861 HourlySalary Supplement: included in hourly salary range (in-scope)Grade: CUPE.09.Term Full-TimeTo start January 1, 2022 until June 30, 2022The Ministry of Social Services, Community Living Service Delivery branch, requires an energetic and empathetic individual for the South Service Area in the Regina, Yorkton, or Estevan office.As a Community Services Worker, you will support and empower the community to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities to live more independently and participate more fully in communities. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of clients including assessment, individual program planning, counselling of individuals and/or families, referral and follow-up to residential, day program or other service systems, and crisis intervention, as well as consulting with community-based organizations (CBO) regarding individual client and staff training issues. In addition, you will monitor, review and perform case issue resolution of CBOs and approved private-service homes, as well as consult and educate the community at large. These objectives will be achieved by applying appropriate social work methods in the implementation of divisional programs in the region with the primary goal of restoring, maintaining and enhancing the community inclusion of individuals with intellectual disabilities.Supervision: as assigned, you will monitor the work of new social workers and practicum students.To qualify, you will possess a Bachelor of Social Work or a Bachelor of Indian Social Work and related experience.
