Faculty/Department Faculty of Media, Art and Performance Unit Media, Art, and Performance-Other Employee Group URFA CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Sessional Number of Vacancies 1 Position SummaryThis studio course explores the creative opportunities available when working digitally in the areas of fine art, illustration and graphic design. Throughout this course students will work towards the production of a portfolio of digital works that will include digital painting, digital collage, vector illustrations, typography, layout design and photographic manipulations. Modules will include introductory and intermediate skills in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign as well as learning how to incorporate scanned artwork or photography into works for both print and screen.NOTE: This position is dependent on budget approval and possible restrictions as dictated by the University and Province pertaining to COVID-19.Position RequirementsMA in contemporary art; Apple certified training in Final Cut Pro X; Adobe Photoshop; Teaching experience in post secondary: Instructor in new media, communications, web technology, and software instructor. Software skills and production skills: experience with Adobe After effects, premier pro, Final Cut Pro 7; Apple Motion; iMovie, Illustrator, HTML, CSS, PhP, MySQL, Javascript, Adobe Dreamweaver.NOTE: This course will be offered by remote delivery only. There will be no face-to-face component. Individuals who are interested in and have the capacity to teach via remote delivery are invited to apply.
