Data and Report Analyst - INF003665Employment Type: Permanent Full-timeLocation(s): SK-Rgna-ReginaMinistry: 036 Social ServicesSalary Range: $38.994-$47.458 HourlySalary Supplement: included in hourly salary range (in-scope)Grade: SGEU.10.The Income Assistance Programs is seeking a highly motivated, skilled and self-directed individual with experience and strong knowledge of data analytics, advanced querying techniques, and data warehousing to fill the position of Data and Report Analyst in Regina. Reporting to the Program Effectiveness Consultant, the successful candidate will monitor utilization and performance of income support programs including examining program interactions; assessing program effectiveness through the development, maintenance, and enhancements of new or existing reports and data processes from existing information management systems. The work of this position is critical in design and delivery of programs that support the basic needs of Saskatchewan people who require income support as they work to become self-sufficient to the best of their abilities. This position will be part of a strong team that values strong outcomes and strong services for Ministry clients and programs.The ideal candidate will have knowledge and hands-on experience working with relational databases and performing data modeling using star schema and/or snowflake schema. You will have technical knowledge of database concepts, data structures, data management, and data integration using disparate data sources. You will be highly skilled in data extraction using stored procedures and SQL queries, data visualization, business intelligence (BI) report creation in Azure, IBM Cognos, and/or Power BI. Advanced knowledge and experience with advanced data analysis and modeling, data mining, ETL development and testing would be considered assets.Typically, knowledge for this position is gained through the successful completion of a degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or other related disciplines, supplemented by several years of progressive experience within a complex, integrated IT environment especially in Analytics, Data Warehousing and Reporting.Candidates must demonstrate in their cover letter or resume how or where they have gained the knowledge and skills required for this position.
