As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes personal and professional growth.We are seeking Engineering Students, for our Regina district, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4 month or 8 months starting in May 2024. This position will be under the direct supervisor of the Project Manager.Here #39;s how an Engineering/Technical Student for our Regina office contributes to our team:Responsibilities

  • Report deficiencies by going on various site visits
  • Monitor and coordinate trade scopes of work
  • Coordinate and update field drawings, specifications, and project schedules
  • Participate in project meetings and get a chance to be part of something bigger by working closely with seasoned project professionals
  • Conduct trade contractor quote reviews
  • Get to visit some of our impressive projects and job sites while taking progress photos and monitoring deficiency logs knowing that you helped build that
  • Be responsible for performing bid day assignments and overall bid document control. Everyone at PCL takes ownership and that includes students.
  • Assistance with on-site problem solving
Qualifications
  • Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
  • Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
  • Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup will be considered an asset.
  • Access to a clean, reliable vehicle
