Faculty/Department Faculty of Education Unit Education-Deans Office Employee Group URFA CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Sessional Practica Coach Number of Vacancies 1 Position SummaryEPE 350 – Theories of Instruction in Secondary School Physical EducationA study of current trends in teaching physical education, analysis of teaching methods, course organization and management, utilization of teaching aids, and evaluation procedures.Duties:

  • Attending the lecture and lab and assisting the course instructor (students will be attending either face-to-face or through remote delivery via Zoom)
  • Leading the students who will be attending remotely via Zoom in activities and discussion using technical platforms.
  • Assisting with attendance, marking, etc. and other duties as assigned
Payment is based on a total of 90 hours over the course of the semester at a rate of $56.65 per hour = $5098.50.Position RequirementsNormally it is preferred that applicants will have a Masters degree appropriate to the area of instruction or a minimum of a Bachelors of Education with a major in Physical Education. Applicants should also have experience in the education system appropriate to the content of the course applied for, knowledge of, and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs, and current knowledge of issues related to the course for which the applicant has applied. University teaching experience is an asset as is familiarity with using technological platforms such as zoom, jamboard, etc.Physical Demands Pay Grade Practica Coach Rates Salary Range per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work HoursLecture: Tuesday & Thursday, 10:00 – 11:15 a.m.Lab: Wednesday, 10:00 – 11:15 a.m.
